Jap friend, Miki 's home town is in Nara, she introduced this Kamameshi dish to me before I went sight seeing in Nara.Kamameshi is rice steamed in iron pot with vege/ seafood/ chicken on top. It has some special taste and as you eat , the taste changes because those rice at the edge of the pot will be burnt , so it has a different taste. Here is the Kamameshi website in Nara.
A famous shop and usually you need to queue for sometimes before you get a seat. After ordering, it takes about 30 minute to cook the dish so you got to wait a little while before you get the food served.
